Happy Valentine’s Day!

When I was going through some of my water drop pictures, I almost missed seeing this one. The drop looks like the shape of a heart, so I thought it would be good for Valentine’s. I changed the colour of the drop to red so that it would stand out, but otherwise did not change anything, except for putting a vignette around the picture.
Valentine’s Day is when a lot of people receive chocolates, flowers, special meals, and other gifts. This is meant to show the people that they are loved by the person presenting the gift.

There are a lot of people who do not receive anything at this time, and this may make them feel that they are not loved. It can be a difficult time for many.

However, there is good news. God loves each and every one of us. He loves us so much that He sent His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ,  here to die for us. This is His gift to us. We are special in His eyes.

This is love: not that we loved God,
but that He loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.
1 John 4:10

  1. Terrific job on changing the color of the drop, without making it look manipulated! Before I read your text, I was convinced the image was shot that way, and I was going to ask how you lit the scene to make that work!

  2. Thanks. I’m not sure if it could be possible to have the two drops that are so close together to be lit by different colours. I’d like to experiment with different colour lights … maybe sometime in the future.
Instead, I used a mask to change the colour. I’m glad it doesn’t look manipulated:)
    Thanks for your encouragement.
